Mars Mission Simulator: Explore Earth to Mars

Navigate an illustrative Mars mission with Earth and Mars views, orbital refilling, a calculated transfer arc and seven stages to explore.

Follow a mission at more than one scale

Journey to Mars connects an explorable solar system with a seven-stage mission model. Move between Earth, the ship, Mars and the route, or select a stage to examine a different part of the plan. Close scenes put the vehicle and its surroundings beside the much larger journey.

Preview speeds let you inspect long intervals. Back to now restores the live clock. The Data panel provides calculated readings, while About this plan describes the assumptions behind the scene.

Know what the simulator represents

The model combines approximate planet positions with a calculated Earth-to-Mars transfer arc. Liftoff, tanker operations, entry, landing and surface activity are modeled sequences. Its dates belong to the exhibit, not an announced launch timetable, and its readings are not spacecraft telemetry.

Planet sizes and distances in the solar view are adjusted for presentation. Treat the route as an illustration of a mission model rather than a promise of a flight. Compare the stages, then return to the current moment to see the same system on its live clock.
